I’m honored to serve once again as President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and I thank our Board of Directors for their continued trust and support.
Chinatown’s future is bright. With the Mayor's early and unwavering commitment to our community—even amid daunting fiscal challenges—San Francisco is signaling that a safe, thriving Chinatown is essential to the city’s recovery.
This year, we proudly welcome Miss Gorretti Lo Lui as an honorary advisor to our Board of Directors. A longtime advocate and friend of the Chamber, her leadership continues a legacy of service shared by Mayor Willie Brown and the late Rose Pak.
Looking back, I’m proud of the strides we’ve made to grow and modernize this 167-year-old institution. From record-breaking viewership of our Lunar New Year Parade—broadcast in major cities nationwide—to hiring our first Program Director in three decades, the Chamber is entering a new era of innovation and impact.
Together with longstanding organizations and emerging groups across Chinatown, we’re reimagining our neighborhood—transforming it into a dynamic destination rooted in culture, resilience, and community.
As our Mayor Daniel Lurie says: Chinatown is on the rise again—and so is San Francisco.
